I was asked: ‘What makes a man feel like a hero?”
The masculine loves to be challenged and overcome those challenges. Overcoming those challenges, especially if it’s on behalf of others, make him feel like a hero.
One of the great downsides of cozy, modern, Western culture is that men don’t face enough challenges, and if they do, they often don’t embrace them head on.
And thus we don’t have many men that feel like heroes inside.
The way to change this is for men to accept the challenges they face, mentally, spiritually, physically, financially, and emotionally, instead of running for escape though TV, food, alcohol, drugs, porn, masturbation. video games and so forth.
We are here to accept the challenges of life in service to something larger than ourself.
You may be vilified, ostracized, criticized, and the honest truth is you may not win. This is irrelevant.
What matters is that you play with all your heart and give everything you possibly have to this world in doing so.
And in that lies the greatest victory beyond any riches this world can give you. The true victory lies within.
