Everything has changed and shifted so quickly across the world over the past few weeks.
A way of life we’ve become accustomed to has ended.
As I wrote about last week, adaptability is our most important resource at this time. Adaptability is our greatest superpower to unlock right now. It’s in encoded in our DNA. It’s been the key to the evolution of our species and its the key to the continued evolution, and flowering, of our consciousness.
We must access that power of adaptability now more than ever.
One of the most difficult things for us to face as human beings is endings. Especially, of course when it’s something we have deeply enjoyed, loved, and valued.
I’ve worked with clients in all of these realms.
First thing to bear in mind is it’s always perfect to feel whatever you’re feeling.
Emotions are temporary visitors to warmly and lovingly welcome as long as they would like to stay.
It’s never a good idea to try to suppress our emotions.
It’s also important to bear in mind the end is never really the end. In fact, there is no end.
There’s a line on the last page of my book ‘The Big Glow’ that reads: “Every ending is a new beginning.”
The realization of this truth has helped me tremendously in my life.
Every death I experience is always a birth of something new.
Every ending of the previous chapter always eventually turns into the beginning of a new chapter.
It’s through honoring the mourning process, embracing the unknown, and any anxiety surrounding it, that we learn to continually turn the page, with our minds innocent, free and clear, and our hearts, open and available for what is to come.
We’re all in this together.
