We just returned from seven days on the beach in South Carolina.
During this past week, I interacted with people from all over America, of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and skin colors, young and old, male and female.
Every person I interacted with was friendly, kind, patient, and caring. Easy to smile, ready to lend a hand whenever needed.
Being that they were from all over America, I imagine they were of diverse political affiliations. Liberals, moderates, conservatives, Democrats, Republicans etc.
And yet this form of identification never came up, or was of any interest. None of us seemed to care. We were, in a very natural, effortless way, recognizing the humanity, and perhaps even the Divinity, in each other, beyond these labels.
Why am I telling you this?
I guess to give you hope.
So you know that when you get off your phone, and get off the so-called “news”, and actually have real human interactions with real people, this this dimension of reality can, and does, still exist.
I tell you so that you know that wherever you roam, and whoever you encounter, you can still always still live in the Heart Land.
